Database trial requests

Trial requests by Geeta Ramesh gives faculty and staff from the various HCT campuses an opportunity to evaluate new databases suggested by faculty and staff for trial.  A minimum of 3 positive responses are required for Central Services to consider the trial. 
 
Database trials

Once a trial goes ahead, the Database trials LibGuide/CampusGuide by Geetha Ramesh gives faculty and staff a chance to review and provide feedback on the trial databases.  New databases are subscribed to based on positive feedback.  Subscriptions to databases are reviewed annually.

The featured guide is on the online learning community Lynda.com and gives guidelines on creating an online profile and how to enroll in one of the many courses.
Our Library Technician, Benj Requiero, created a Guide in PowerPoint to give you step by step instructions if you have any difficulties.
